Pipeline Replacement/Rehabilitation
In addition to the everyday pipeline replacement techniques such as insertion or slip lining, Denholm Pipecare are specialists in the more complex techniques of rehabilitation, in particular the use of pipe bursting and Swagelining™. Pipecare have successfully completed numerous large diameter (16”/18”) Swagelining™ projects in locations such as Leamington Spa, Sutton Coldfield and Edinburgh. The last of the projects in Leamington Spa resulted in what is believed to be a record “pull” for a UK utility of 930m and an award from the UKSTT. As well as being a cost effective and proven technology the reduced environmental impact is an additional benefit of using swagelining, as the need for excavations and subsequent traffic disruption can be reduced by approximately 90%.
